I reset all the asus auto overclock and extreme settings to default auto and let it increase and decrease the multiplier itself and I have had no issues what's so ever and can run at whatever settings I want. So my older 17 chip that is set at 3.4 was running at 4.2ghz and under load it was simply kicking me out of the game and sometimes re booting. I booted into Bios on the asus rog profile and notices the Multiplier on the cpu was set to manual and at 42x per core. However checking after the crash to desktop it would only show a max of 54.c on the cpu. So my fix I found by accident when re applying thermal paste to my cpu water cooling block, I thought id would try that as it maybe was overheating. Operating System-Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview 64-bitĬPU- Intel Core i7 3770 3.40GHz 24 ☌ Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology My specs are on this Rig running right as I type this ( it shows the temps) I found out the issue and maybe it will help people with the same problem.īefore I explain I have an average gaming rig for steam games and another for sim racing, but that’s a different thread. None of these worked and even the support was not able to help. I did all of the normal checks, drivers, verifying files, reinstalling steam, reinstalling GR, disabling auto save, running at low settings etc etc etc. Just wanted to share my finding of a recent case of the game crashing without warning.
